Another calm week with lots of sunshine, long walks and a relaxing weekend. Highlights included dinner with a colleague, cooking Japanese for a friend and a surprise visit by Caro from Berlin who came to Zurich for a job. I also received a large package filled with books about walking and getting lost. Diverging from my 2017 reading list, I immediately started digging into Flâneuse by Lauren Elkin, which I do love so far. Now, it’s time for steak and Bloody Mary’s with the boyfriend. Life is good.
Find some pictures from the past week and 5 links I found share-worthy down below & enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
5 Things from Last Week
The Athletes of the first Winter Olympics – Sports in suits have so much more style!
Seasonal Food Guide for January & February by Kyra’s Kitchen – You can almost smell the barren soil at the farm Kyra photographed here and the list of foods that are currently in season comes in very handy, too.
Life in Japan – A precious selection of photographic glass-plate transparencies depicting life in Japan in 1910.
Swiss Apple Bundt Cake by Eat Little Bird – This sounds delicious and went straight on my list of cakes I need to bake. Also I might need a beautiful bundt cake form.
How to Draw a Turtle by Majasbok – I love here little illustrations and these how-to’s she posts from time to time are really cute.
