Currently, indulging in some “luxurious” skincare routine helps me to wind down after a long day at work. Also, I do have the feeling that in autumn and winter my skin does need a little extra dedication. Here are three skincare and wellness products I covet at the moment.
While in recent months I have been getting more and more into skincare, I try not to buy heaps of new products that will only turn stale or dusty inside my bathroom cupboard. In general, I prefer simple, high-quality products that I can use on a daily basis and ideally I will want to stick with them for quite a while. As with food or clothes, when it comes to skincare, I do prefer all-natural or organic products. It’s a plus if skincare brands act sustainable and communicate with a certain amount of transparency.
1. Everyday Oil
Not Everyday Oil seem to fulfil all of these criteria, it’s also multifunctional: you can use the oil for your face, but also all over your body and hair. It’s said to be cleansing and moisturising at the same time, so it sounds just sounds perfect. The reviews for this product are raving and, yes, I am also into the whole aesthetically pleasing brand identity they have created. Good job!
2. Buffet by The Ordinary
I tried this serum during the past weekend at my best friends home in Berlin, and my skin did fall in love with it. It’s a super light serum with anti-aging effect. Apart from that, Buffet immediately helped to smooth my skin and eliminated any acute redness. You just need a tiny drop of the serum, so I believe that the 30ml bottle will last for quite a while.
3. Detox Bath Salts by Herbivore Botanicals
After visiting those Onsen Towns in Japan, I do love to take long, hot baths. My favourite option is to just immerse myself in a tub with nothing more than hot water and a handful of sea salt. Yet, when I am emotionally drained or feel a cold coming, I do sometimes to need a little bit extra. Enter these DETOX Bath Salts by Herbivore Botanicals. Infused with a blend of Lavender and Eucalyptus essential oils, as well as Cambrian Blue Clay, they sound like they will do the trick.
