1. “Stars” Print from Obvious State. I came across the prints by Obvious State via my tumblr feed and immediately fell in love with the graphics created to different literary quotes. My favorite would be the one by e.e. cummings. I ordered it via etsy and today it finally arrived. It will live on the wall above my bed. Let’s go.

 

2. Agfa Parat-I. I own a small collection of analogue cameras. I like this camera in particular, because it is so small and light, perfect to take with you for long walk or on trips as a second camera. It’s a half-format rangefinder camera and great to play around with. It accompanied me to New York last year:

 

 

3. Paris – Ein Fest fürs Leben. My dear friend Nina gave me this book for my birthday shortly after I came back from my Paris trip. It’s a collection of Hemingway’s memories from his years in the French capital in the 1920s. A wonderful read, tied into a very well designed book. I try to avoid reading straight through it, so that it will stay with me for a while. Thank you, Nina.

Working as a creative at an agency for digital brand management, most of my days are spent handling things concerning the digital sphere. I have a passion for the digital, created my first webpage when I was 17 and have an unnatural attachment to my iPhone.   Yet, I start to realize that especially in my free time I tend cling on to the analogue. I love books, I love how you can trace the reading process by just taking a look at the book itself. I make little notes in them and mark pages with words I enjoyed the most with dog-ears.
